Warranty Policy

1. Our Commitment

TZARY Fine Living stands behind the quality of our craftsmanship. We warranty all bespoke furniture against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 12 months from the date of delivery. This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.

2. What Is Covered

This warranty covers manufacturing defects in the structural frame, joinery, upholstery workmanship, and finishing of your furniture. A "manufacturing defect" is defined as a flaw in the construction or materials that causes the piece to be unfit for its intended purpose, when used under normal residential or commercial conditions.

Examples of covered defects include: broken frame joints, faulty springing in seating, loose or detached upholstery stitching arising from construction, and finish peeling or bubbling due to improper application.

3. What Is Not Covered

The following are explicitly excluded from this warranty:

  • Normal wear and tear from regular use, including softening of cushions, minor fabric pilling, and natural loosening of fibres.
  • Sun damage and fading caused by direct or indirect sunlight exposure, even through glass. We recommend positioning furniture away from direct sunlight.
  • Water damage, stains, and spills of any kind.
  • Damage caused by pets, including scratches, chewing, hair oils, or odours.
  • Misuse, abuse, or negligence, including exceeding weight limits, using furniture for unintended purposes, or moving items without proper care.
  • Damage from improper cleaning products or methods.
  • Damage caused during delivery or moving by parties other than TZARY Fine Living or our authorised representatives.
  • Natural variations in wood, fabric, leather, or stone, including colour, grain, and texture differences.
  • Changes in appearance due to environmental conditions such as humidity and temperature fluctuations.

4. How to Make a Warranty Claim

If you believe your furniture has a manufacturing defect covered by this warranty, please contact us within the warranty period at sales@tzary.co.za or 021 447 6219.

You will be required to provide photographs and a detailed description of the issue, along with your original order details. We may arrange an on-site inspection at our discretion.

TZARY Fine Living reserves the right to determine, at our sole discretion, whether a reported issue constitutes a manufacturing defect covered by this warranty.

5. Remedies

If a manufacturing defect is confirmed, TZARY Fine Living will, at our discretion, repair the defect, replace the defective component, or replace the item with an equivalent product. Where a repair is undertaken, the workmanship and any replacement parts will carry the remainder of the original warranty period.

No cash refunds will be issued under this warranty. This is your sole and exclusive remedy.

6. Care & Maintenance

Proper care is essential to the longevity of your furniture. We recommend following our care guidelines, which are provided with your order. Failure to follow recommended care instructions may void this warranty.

7. Limitations

This warranty is in addition to any rights you may have under South African consumer protection law and does not limit those statutory rights. However, as our products are bespoke and made-to-order, your right of return under the Consumer Protection Act may be limited in accordance with applicable legislation.
